Prayer Request for Ms. Edna
Sun., Oct. 1. 2006 12:05pm EDT
In one of the other stories in this week's newsletter, we related an amusing story about Ms. Edna, an ApologetiX fan who is good friend of Wanda Rose Bush. Unfortunately, a few days after posting that story received this message from Wanda:
Ms. Edna is in the hospital. I went to pick her up this morning for church. We were planning on going to a flea market this afternoon to get a banner for the Fall Festival at church, so I asked her if she wanted to take the walker for church and then we'd take her wheelchair for the flea market. She kept saying "OK, OK, OK, OK, OK.........." and I soon noticed that she couldn't put two words together.
She was moving both of her arms and legs, but still she couldn't say what she wanted to say. I took her to the hospital and they've confirmed a stroke on the left rear portion of the brain, which involves speech. They are also concerned about her vision and her balance.
She's in good spirits and is in good shape except for just not being able to spit out what she wants to. Her blood sugar and blood pressure were normal. They are going to do an MRI tomorrow and keep her for two or three days.
Your prayers are appreciated!! She's a big prayer warrior and handles the prayer chain at our church. She is one person who truly believes in the power of prayer.
Editor's Note: Wanda has since told us that Ms. Edna suffered a small stroke. Please keep her in your prayers!
