Pastor Has Biblical Attraction to ApologetiX
Sun., Aug. 3. 2008 11:59am EDT
We love getting encouraging emails, but ones we get from pastors are always extra special. Here's a great one we got about a week ago:I am reading a book right now called "Why Churches Die" by Mac Brunson and Ergun Caner. In a chapter dealing with starvation from lack of the Word of God, they mention that there is a whole generation of Christians who are content to be biblically illiterate.
They attribute part of this to the desire of Christians to be entertained and the lack of actual biblical content in "Christian Music." I agree with them. That has been an annoyance of mine for years.
That being said, I want to thank you so much for all the work that you do to make sure that your songs are biblical from begining to end. You stand out far above the crowd in this area. On top of that, I want to thank you for being so open about your priority of personal Bible study, and for urging others to do the same.
Not only will there be many people in heaven because they heard the gospel from one of your songs, there will be many people in heaven who know God's Word better because of your songs and your testimony. Thank you.
