Teach Your Children Well ... With APX Not CSNY

Thirty-nine years ago this week, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young entered the charts with their hit song "Teach Your Children." In related news, here's an email we received this past week:Something really cool happened last night & I just had to tell you about it. I own most of your CDs and love them for many reasons, but chief among those reasons is that I don't have to worry about my children hearing inappropriate lyrics. Consequently, we listen to your music in the car A LOT!
Recently, my 9-year-old son got his first MP3 player and requested that we load it with his favorite ApologetiX songs. He's been listening to it (& singing along -- loudly!) quite a bit. Here's the cool thing: last night, when I went in at bedtime, he was sitting on his bed with his Bible open, which was a bit of a surprise. When I asked him what was up, he said he wanted to know what "Micah #5" was about, so he looked it up. He still wasn't sure what it meant, so we read it together & talked about it, had a mini Bible study before bed.
As much as I love your music, I confess that I hadn't really thought of it as a teaching tool for my kids. My mistake! Now I know that listening to ApologetiX is not only not going to hurt my children, but can actually help them grow on their spiritual journey. Thank you so much for your ministry of music, which has had such a positive impact on our lives.
God Bless!
