Infection Cancels Concert in Alabama

Our drummer, Jimmy "Vegas" Tanner, had to go to the emergency room last Saturday because of painful swelling in his knee and inflammation in his leg.
The diagnosis: bursitis in the knee, which has since been drained, and cellulitis in the leg, the same condition that caused considerable pain and trouble for our bass player, Keith Haynie, last year on a trip to Tennessee.
Jimmy's bursitis is being treated by an orthopedic surgeon and he began taking antibiotics immediately for the cellulitis . However, we learned last year with Keith how aggravating a long road trip can be to that condition. Consequently, our 700-mile trip to Alabama this Friday has been canceled.
Our concerts this Saturday in Chesapeake OH (less than two miles from Huntington WV) and New Wilmington PA are still on, though. They are much closer to home, and they also give Jimmy a day longer to get better.
This is now the third concert in a row we've had canceled by unforeseen circumstances -- after we'd made it through the first seven months of the year with no cancellations. Last weekend's concerts were also canceled when one pastor was hospitalized and another promoter faced other issues.
However, considering how quickly and painfully Jimmy's knee and leg flared up, we are very grateful that we were not on the road this past weekend when it happened.
Please keep Jimmy in prayer for a quick recovery. The prognosis is good, but we know his healing is in God's hands. In addition to our shows this Saturday and Sunday, we have our huge 20th anniversary show the following Friday.
