Missionaries in Kenya Wash Dishes to APX
Fri., Jan. 8. 2016 9:28am EST
Bet you didn't know that one of the missionary customs in Kenya is to wash dishes to the sound of ApologetiX. Don't believe us? Read on: Hello! I've been a long time fan of ApologetiX (along with my dad, Gary Jessen), but I only recently thought to sign up for your newsletter.
I received the email the other day about support. I'm sorry to say I can't monetarily support you right now. My parents and I are missionaries in Africa, and we live off support as you do. We're located in a small fishing village called Matoso. The closest place on a map to us is Mahuru Bay.
We just really love y'all's parodies, and want the band to prosper! Dad and I always jam to ApologetiX whilst hand-washing the dishes, it makes doing chores fun!
I hope once I go back for college and get a job, I can donate monthly.
In the interim, I just wanted to let y'all know I'm praying for your needs and your families and that the message of Christ will be spread through ApologetiX even more this coming year.
God bless,
Hope Jessen
