Clues for This Weekend's Single
Thu., Nov. 17. 2016 10:28am EST
We wanted to clue you in on a couple things:
Sunday's scheduled single tackles two tunes that peaked at pop's pole position at either end of the eighties. The pair of artists we parodied each had a pair of #1 hits but shared shockingly short shelf lives subsequently.
The first song imagines Roman commander Claudius Lysias recounting his encounter with the Apostle Paul after rescuing him from an angry mob in Jerusalem in Acts 21.
The second song laments the tragic death of Judah's last good king, Josiah, and the lousy lives of his sons Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim, and Zedekiah, who each took a terrible turn on the throne as his unsuccessful successors.
Once the new single is released, we'll announce it on our website, on Facebook, and on Twitter.
We currently have 70 other sets of downloads available for a donation of any size, including our previous release, "Child of God" and "Tried to Find Lots of Ways," featuring parodies of Earth, Wind & Fire and Eddie Rabbitt.
To get any of these projects, go to http://apologetix.com/store and select the download you want for whatever amount you wish to donate.
