Bible Quizzers Celebrate with ApX Victory Song

David Rosentrater is a longtime fan who coaches kids in Bible quizzing, competitions in which teams of students memorize passages and entire books of the Bible and are subsequently tested on their knowledge of what they've memorized.
We first became aware of Bible quizzing before we even formed ApologetiX. Many denominations and independent churches across the United States participate in some form of it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bible_quiz
Of course, we're big advocates of scripture memorization, so we were delighted to hear the following from David:Three weeks ago, I had a quiz team in Pennsylvania for a tournament in Carlisle PA. Our (Nappanee IN) team has been in a somewhat rebuilding stage for the past few years. We used to have an excellent team and used to win quite a few of the tournaments that we we entered. But these young pups had not won a tournament till this one.
It was a pleasure to introduce them to the Nappanee post-tournament victory tradition of playing "We're More Than Champions" (the ApologetiX parody of "We Are the Champions" by Queen) very loudly in the van as we drove off to supper after the good day of quizzing. They enjoyed it so much they wanted to hear it twice more on the way to supper and also on the way home the next day.
Different denominations have somewhat different styles of quizzing … though usually all of us quiz on the same material in a year. This year has been Luke. Usually the best quizzers will have all of the material memorized by the end of the quiz year. The quizzers I currently have on the team are young but three of them have been working hard and have large amounts of the book committed to memory.

Bremen IN How ironic that we heard all that from David the day after we released our latest single, which includes a song called "Turn to Luke."
