Amazing Testimony from a Fan's Son in AZ

Here is a Facebook post we received from Daniel Mills, son of ApX fan David Mills, after our Green Bay show last Saturday. It touched our hearts very deeply, and we think it will touch yours as well:OK, so I never post to Facebook or anywhere. I'm here, but I normally don't like to share my life to the whole world. I just have to say something about ApologetiX. This is the greatest Christian group I've ever heard or had the pleasure to deal with.
My dad is blind, he wasn't born blind, either. He became blind because of an eye surgeon who cut both his retinas and less then ten percent of the top right peripheral vision could be saved. This happened when I was ten. In that time my dad has had to overcome a lot, mainly with his kids. It's been very hard for my family. Out of the four kids he has at the moment, I'm the only semi-stable one who's six years married and three kids deep. I work constantly, my wife works constantly, we try to keep things going.
My parents, however, have had to completely restart their lives because of their kids. My older sister dipped out to live on the streets and my parents took full custody of their two children, my older brother has taken so much from them and has never showed true appreciation -- he just throws it back in their faces and continues to destroy his life in many ways.
My younger sister has issues mainly with how to be a mom and while she has left her two kids to live with my parents, she has come back to live with them, too, so she can hopefully change her life and continue to grow. So I would say 90 percent of the week my dad and my mom watch four children and one adult, and they have been for a long time.
I'm gonna say this about my dad: NOBODY, and I mean nobody, in my life ever has always been true to God. Not pastors, not my mom, definitely not me. I've done so much wrong I can't even bear it. My dad has never ever once struggled with his beliefs. He has very very few pleasures, things that mean a lot to him. ApologetiX is his favorite band, he's been following them for YEARS. He loves their ministry, he loves their music, this band is his number one obsession other then his wife.
Vacation to us is SO rare. Me and my wife struggle and my parents help, and we try to repay where we can to the best of their abilities. Me and my dad are extremely close and while his morals supersede my own we've always had a connection in God and in music. My mom was able to work some magic and in the first time in, who knows, maybe a decade, my mom got this trip setup for me and my dad to fly from Surprise AZ to Green Bay WI to see his favorite band.
As I said before, my dad has very little pleasures and with him being blind, it makes it that much more difficult to pull this off when we are all struggling. Well, we made it. We just got back to our hotel from seeing ApologetiX, a band that we never thought in our life we would be able to see. The show, the message, the people in this very small concert hall, Cup O' Joy, was downright amazing.
To me, you were amazing. To my dad, you just made him the happiest I've ever seen him. I mean I'm physically crying because I'm so happy to see how much this meant to him. And thank you, J., for standing up and hugging him after the show and the whole group for taking his picture and signing his CD. I really don't think you'll ever understand how much that meant everything to him. I'll never hear the end of it, and I'm so grateful for it.
We weren't even to the car yet and he was calling my mom, his wife, so ecstatic. So this to me makes you the greatest Christian band. Your message has kept my dad the man of God he is for as long as he has been. Thank you, ApologetiX. You guys were amazing and this meant the world to me because it meant everything to my dad. Editor's note: It sounds to us like Daniel's dad, David, is the amazing one. We sure do serve an amazing God, and we are humbled to be a part of HIs plan and deeply honored to be David's favorite band.
