Clues for This Weekend's Single
Thu., May. 28. 2020 10:44pm EDT
We hope to release our ninth single of 2020 (featuring two all-new parodies) by the end of this weekend, Lord willing. Here are your clues. Think you know the artists? Try and see how many references within the clues you can spot.
SONG #1
Elkanah married two wives: Peninnah had children, but Hannah had a houseful of nothing. Hannah was so hurt by Peninnah's taunts, it was hard not to keep feeling exasperation. But Hannah did dare to believe God could give her a son. After Samuel was born, she gave him back to God to serve Eli the priest, and God gave her more boys and girls.
SONG #2
David's sin was a well kept secret, but God sent Nathan to break it to him gently that he was heading for a heartache. Yes, it's a heartache when we're forced to face our sins, but it can be the sweetest thing for believers. It all depends on the angle of the mourning: Worldly sorrow brings death, but Godly sorrow brings repentance. Take heart!
Once the new single is released, we'll announce it on our website and Facebook.
