Prayer Request Updates on Three Friends
Sat., Jan. 15. 2022 2:57pm EST
Here's an update with the latest info we have on three friends whom we've had you praying for in recent months. As many of you will recall, all three of these men were hospitalized for COVID in 2021, and two of them are still there, but all three have gone from extremely dire circumstances to much more promising prognoses:
RICHARD "KENNEDY" SADOWSKI
From Keith Haynie's wife, Krista, who had just talked to Richard's closes friend, Patty, last Friday night, January 7:
"They took the trach out of Richard already!!! He is still having trouble moving his arms and legs, and he told Patty he is worried. He is supposed to start physical therapy tomorrow and remains in ICU so far."
BILL TURNER
From his wife, Lynn, this past Thursday night, January 13:
"Things are still going fairly smoothly with Bill. He is freestanding for longer periods of time and was able to lower himself into a chair today as well as slip on his shoes by himself. So I am in awe at the amazing things the Lord has done in just over a month and a half.
"He is off all machines, including the dialysis machine and tubes, except the oxygen. And they are talking about home care soon. They also mentioned a rehab hospital prior to home care, but either way he will be moving in the right direction. And we are praising the Lord!!"
DARNELL CLINE
From his wife, Sonja, this past Sunday night, January 9:
"We're doing well, but there are a few issues as we continue to recover from this awful virus. Darnell still has a ways to go with regard to endurance. He's back to work full time, and that just exhausts him. He does work from home, though, so for him, it's a help.
"God is still doing wonderful things here in the Cline household, though, and I'm really humbled and excited. He is truly causing my little family to grow in Him, and I am eternally grateful for that. He is faithful.
"This is the time in my life where I'm learning how to wrestle with God in prayer. It's not always easy, but it is soooooo rewarding and necessary! I look at it as much-needed training before Darnell and I begin serving Him together. Prayer is foundational, and I'm learning, at least in my life, that it's crucial!
"I can't thank you enough for continuing to pray for us! We need it for sure!"
IN CONCLUSION (FOR NOW)
Thank you fall for praying for Richard (and Patty), Bill (and Lynn), and Darnell (and Sonja). We know they all very much appreciate it, and we hope you are as encouraged by their progress as we are. Praise the Lord!
