This Thu-Sun: 4 Shows in MS, FL & AL
Mon., Apr. 3. 2006 10:09am EDT
Hey y'all! This Thursday through Sunday, we'll be in the deep south for the first time this year, with four shows in Mississippi, Florida, and Alabama, including two benefit shows for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
On Thursday, April 6, we'll be in Pass Christian MS (10 miles from Gulfport, 25 miles from Biloxi, 70 miles from New Orleans LA, 85 miles from Mobile, and 125 miles from Baton Rouge).
On Friday, April 7, we'll be in D'iberville MS (5 miles from Biloxi, 20 miles from Gulfport, 60 miles from Mobile AL, 90 miles from New Orleans, and 145 miles from Baton Rouge).
On Saturday, April 8, we'll make our fourth appearance at GraceFest in Pensacola FL (60 miles from Mobile AL, 120 miles from Biloxi MS, 135 miles from Gulfport MS, 165 miles from Montgomery AL, and 195 miles from Tallahassee). GraceFest was cancelled last year in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. This two-day event will feature a number of other national artists, including Todd Agnew, Barlow Girl, Big Daddy Weave, By the Tree, Day of Fire, Disciple, Hawk Nelson, Jonah 33, Kutless, Salvador, Jaci Velasquez, and many more! http://www.gracefest.org/schedule.htm
On Sunday, April 9, we'll be in Prattville AL (15 miles from Montgomery, 80 miles from Birmingham, 125 miles from Tuscaloosa, 140 miles from Gadsden, and 175 miles from Atlanta GA and Mobile).
As we alluded to above, the two Mississippi shows are concerts for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Although New Orleans got the most media attention in Katrina's aftermath, it wasn't the only place devastated. We played in Pass Christian MS a couple years ago, and the place where we played has been completely destroyed. People are still living in tents and displaced to other states.
We can't rebuild their town. We can't really do much, but we CAN bring some hope and SOMETHING else to do. The concerts are free and we encourage our fans to make the trip and come see the effects first hand, and take the experience home and help us to not forget.
We also invite our friends around the world to help by buying tickets to this concert online, and we're donating all that money to Katrina victims. We've already posted some recent photos of what we're in store for. PLEASE buy a bunch of tickets so we can come with hope and a big bucket of help from the awesome army of ApologetiX ambassadors around the world.
