Build the bus

We got back from New Bremen, OH around 5am. by noon, Kevin and I were working on the bus. We put the rest of the sheet rock and plywood up to the ramp at the front, and spent the rest of the day tearing that out and rebuilding the floor there. After running him to the airport, Ted Davidson came over until 1:30am finishing the ram, and the tricky front edge. The floor is now done.
Ramp and Floor
Kevin and I laying subfloor
Kevin pulling out the ramp
Kevin digging out the ramp
The front is free
cutting the floor around it for the new floor to share joists
Chipping away the stubborn parts
You can spend hours on that one screw that won’t come out
Kevin does the other side
Ted working on the new cold air return, now only on the front.
framing in for the new floor (note holes cut for cold air return)
toenailing the joist to the sub floor and new support
More support (extra engineering for high traffic area)
The sun gives up but we’re not done, bring on the shop lights
The last piece has a million things to go around.
Ted locks in the new floor where the ramp was
Endless notching of plaster and plywood to get around vents etc.
Entry wall removed, the new floor goes out to the oddly-curved bus edge
