What's the story behind That's Too Bad?

If this CD were a vinyl record, side one would start with track #1, "Bad Foreign Girls," and side two would start with track #7, "Bad Things for a Good Time." That's two "Bad." But that's not the only reason we picked this title.

James 2:10 says, "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it." As track #9 points out, we all sin a lot — that's too bad to get into Heaven on our own.

However, Christ came into the world to save sinners (1 Tim. 1:15), and to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12). Unfortunately, many refuse, like the folks in tracks #3, 5, 10, and 11. And that's too bad.

This CD ends with two football spoofs. One reimagines the story of the Good Samaritan; the other was written for a Steelers Christian men's event we played in 2015. We hope you'll take them in the humorous spirit in which they were intended. If not, you take sports more seriously than we do. And that's too bad.
