ApologetiX to Open for Toby Mac
Sun., Jan. 28. 2007 11:26pm EST
ApologetiX is scheduled to open for former DC Talk front man Toby Mac in Florida in early March.
Although they were arguably the most popular Christian group in the world for most of the 1990's, DC Talk's members embarked on solo careers in 2000 while still at the top of their game. Since then, Toby Mac has had the most success, and he continues to be recognized as a trailblazer in the field of Christian rap and hip hop.
ApologetiX members J. Jackson and Bill "Wild Thing" Hubauer both list DC Talk's album "Jesus Freak" as their all-time favorite Christian album. Jackson adds that the follow-up album, "Supernatural," isn't far behind on his list. "Hey, we even spoofed the title for our 'Spoofernatural' CD. Of course, that also had something to do with a guy named Santana releasing a #1 album of his own called 'Supernatural' at about the same time.'"
The concert will be held Sunday, March 4 at the Sebastian Performing Arts Center in Sebastian FL (near Vero Beach).
