This Past Weekend in IN, IL & OH
Mon., May. 7. 2007 6:56pm EDT
Like the legendary rock band Kiss, we've played all over the United States but some of our strongest support has traditionally come from the Midwest. Consequently, we spent a lot of time this past weekend catching up with old friends (and making new ones) at our concerts in Farmland IN (Friday), Des Plaines IL (Saturday), and New Bremen OH (Sunday).
Here's a nice note we received from Derek Chalfant, who promoted Friday's concert:
Fellows, Thanks once again for coming to Farmland Friday and rockin' the house. It was a pleasure to work with you guys, and I hope the experience was the same for you. People couldn't quit talking about the show Sunday at church, I believe it was a successful event. I only wish more people would have been there but for our first time not too bad. Maybe down the line we can
work together again at some point.
Here's another great email we received from a young woman who attended Saturday's concert:
I just saw you in concert last night in Des Plaines for the first time. I've beeen a fan for a few years and have always wanted to see you live. The concert was everything I hoped it would be. Again, I wanted to thank you for your music and your ministry.
Thank you for encouraging your fans to read the Bible. My dad has read the Bible through each year for more years than I've been alive. He told me I should do the same, but the size of the Bible intimidated me. Like I told you after the concert, your fan newsletter inspired me to start reading through my Bible, it took me two years but I made it through for the first time last week and I've already started through it again.
Thank you again and God bless your ministry.

Finally, here's an email from a family who drove all the way from Wisconsin to get to Sunday's concert:
Needing a break from the monotony of work and school, my husband, daughter, and I spent the last 30 hours driving 1100 miles through four states, which meant 20 hours of driving, using 45 gallons of gas, 12 quarts of oil, four spark plugs, engine sealer, and tools ... and an unexpected one-hour delay in a Fleet Farm parking lot. Then realizing we had forgot the time change, losing one hour and arriving 10 minutes before the start of one APX Concert in New Bremen OH.
Well worth the time and effort! Thanks for another great show, and the encouragement and godly reminders that your music brings to our lives every day!
