15th Anniversary Concert This Friday
Mon., Jun. 25. 2007 2:36pm EDT
The ApologetiX 15th Anniversary Celebration concert is this coming Friday, June 29, in Wexford PA (near Pittsburgh). In addition to the many fans from multiple states who've told us they're planning to come, the following ApologetiX alumni are already confirmed for the event:
Jeff Pakula (our original drummer)
Jerry Hayostek (our original bassist)
Steve Kayner (bassist on "Isn't Wasn't Ain't" and at various concerts from 1992-94)
Keith Harrold (drummer on "Isn't Wasn't Ain't," and various times from 1992-00)
Bob Flaherty (drummer from 1995-98)
Fred Behanna (drummer from 1999-01)
Bill "Moose" Rieger (drummer from 2001-05)
John Taylor (fill-in bassist at five concerts from 2005-06)
We plan to integrate those ApologetiX alumni into the concert, and we certainly want to honor them for their efforts. And, most of all, we want them to have the opportunity to meet you. Make sure you bring your CDs for them to autograph.
Two other drummers who have filled in for us in concert may also be there -- Ron Zanski (two concerts in 1992) and Allen Muckle (three concerts in 2001).
We're also videotaping the event to preserve it for posterity. If the tape turns out to be terrific, we might make it available on DVD at a later date.
The concert is free to the public and will take place in conjunction with North Park Church Community Day, so there will be a picnic (with free refreshments and games) at 6 p.m. followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m.
The June 29 concert launches a 10-day tour that will take us to Texas and back. It's also the maiden voyage for our new tour bus, Lord willing, and we're having an open house (open bus) for fans who gave to the "Build the Bus" program.
For more details on this and any of our other upcoming concerts, click on the links in the left column of this week's newsletter or go to the concerts section on our homepage.
Hope to see you there!
