This Past Weekend in IA, KS & CO
Mon., Apr. 7. 2008 4:36pm EDT
Apparently absence really does make the heart grow fonder. Although we hadn't played Iowa and Colorado since 2005, and our last trip to Kansas was 2006, we got really great turnouts at each of our concerts this past weekend in Mount Ayr IA, Wichita KS, and Fort Collins CO. The Wichita concert was up against a Final Four NCAA basketball game featuring the University of Kansas, yet they still came out in droves.
Tracee Knapp, who coordinated the Mount Ayr show, had this to say in a post-concert email:Wow! The concert was wonderful. Praise the Lord! Thank you, thank you, and thank you. Tell all the other members that we were blessed to get to know them. Thanks again. I will keep you all in my prayers. Here's a note from Sarah Thiel, who coordinated the Fort Collins concert:Thanks again for everything! The concert was amazing and hanging out with you guys was a blast. Most of all thanks for doing what God has called you to do and doing it so faithfully. I appreciate all of your hard work. I will for sure keep you guys in my prayers. Longtime fan Sarah May, who attended the Wichita show, added this:You guys amazed me last night as usual, but seeing as how it was the first concert I saw with the new line-up, I was stunned. Probably because I wasn't aware of the incredible talent Keith had on his mad guitar skills. And I knew Hubie was a musical genius, but he astonished me with all the multi-tasking. Impressive! Colleen Tolman, who came from Cheyenne WY to see the Fort Collins concert, also said:My son Daniel and I just saw y'all last night in Ft Collins. What fun! We've been listening to your music for quite a few years now and really felt blessed to shar the "live experience" with y'all and all the other Christians there! Special thanks to:
Our concert coordinators: Tracee Knapp (Mount Ayr); Darrell "Maddog" Doesken (Wichita); and Sarah Thiel (Fort Collins).
