This Past Weekend in Las Vegas
Sun., Apr. 18. 2010 5:29pm EDT
We considered summing up our concert in Las Vegas this past Friday with the words, "What happened in Vegas will have to stay in Vegas." However, we didn't want you to get the wrong idea.
We had a great time hanging out with our concert coordinators, John Solomon and Michael Scott, and the concert went well, but the most exotic thing we did in Vegas was stand in line with a bunch of other people outside of the famous Pawn Stars pawn shop (it took too long, and we had to get to sound check, so we never did get in) and walk past the slot machines in our hotel's casino lobby on our way to Fat Burger for dinner. That all may not sound too classy, but that hotel was easily one of the fanciest we've ever stayed in.
Our greatest moment was when a former Kentucky native told us after the concert that God had used our song "Last Night" (from the Spoofernatural CD) to bring her to Christ a number of years earlier. We also had a fan in attendance who had seen us seven times over the years in California and Nevada and told us this our shows get better each time he sees us. Here's an email we received afterward from one of our concert coordinators:The concert was AWESOME!!! Thank you and the band!
