This Past Friday in Houston TX
Thu., Jan. 6. 2011 9:10am EST
Last Friday, we closed the year with a concert in Houston TX, our first New Year's Eve show since North Pole AK in 2005. We figured if we couldn't play the largest state again, we'd settle for the second largest.
Seriously, we love Texas -- so much that we played all five of our December concerts there -- and this was our 46th concert ever in the the Lone Star State.
In the airport on the way home, we met and chatted with Tate Olsen, the cello player for Skillet. We didn't know he lives in Pittsburgh and has done so for 18 years.
Special thanks to:
Our concert coordinator: Pastor Richard Rodriguez (no, not the same guy who just got fired as head coach for the University of Michigan)
Our merchandise coordinators: Sheila and Diane
Honorable mention to: Steve "The Snackman" Wiles and his daughters, Sheridan and Sahara, who made the 870-mile round trip trip from Oklahoma City OK.
