This Past Weekend in NC & SC
Wed., Mar. 23. 2011 7:29pm EDT
This past weekend's concerts in Bessemer City NC and Walterboro SC gave us a strong case of déjà vu, and no wonder -- we played both places in the same weekend a year ago, too -- and the people were just as nice this time around as they were last time.
Our hosts Saturday at North Walterboro Baptist Church prepared a big chicken barbeque dinner for us and packed the leftovers into styrofoam "to go" boxes. Several of the guys took the boxes back to their hotel rooms that night, looking forward to a late-night chicken dinner. Everything went as planed for Tom Milnes and Jimmy Tanner -- not so much for Tom Tincha and Greg Spack.
Tom opened his box and discovered it was full of banana pudding. Greg's box was full of nothing but green beans, and the juice had leaked out all over the contents of his travel bag. Since then, we've taken to calling him "Mr. Green Beans."
Here are some Facebook comments we received from fans after the shows:Had a great time at the show in Bessemer City -- great time worshiping God and lifting Him up! Thanks!
