This Past Weekend in IN & MI
Tue., Mar. 29. 2011 12:36pm EDT

We celebrated our 19th anniversary this past weekend with concerts in Fort Wayne IN, home of pioneering Christian rock band Petra, and East Lansing MI, home of Michigan State University. Indiana and Michigan are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, on the list of states where we've played the most, with well over 100 concerts between them.

The highlight of our weekend was probably when our sound engineer, Greg Spack, heard a boy praying along with Tom Milnes at the end of his message Saturday night. Although the boy stuttered, he was doing his best to keep up with Tom, and was obviously praying very sincerely. It was a very beautiful, moving thing.

Here are some nice Facebook/email comments from our concert coordinators:

It was awesome having you at Praise Lutheran! Come back soon.

Got my new shirt at the concert at Praise in Fort Wayne. Thank you ApologetiX. You were awesome!

Wow! What a great time! There is certainly a buzz around school this morning -- everyone had such a great time! Thanks again for coming. Maybe we could plan to do it again next year? just a thought. You guys are a first-class act. We loved having you here!

Here our some email comments from fans in attendance:
I just want to tell you that I saw you for the first time last night in Fort Wayne thanks to Pastor Frank Queen. You are all blessed with amazing talent and the Lord is using you to both bring people to Christ and to strengthen those who are already Christians.

My walk with the Lord has been a bumpy one for as long as I can remember but seeing him use people like you to spread the word and do his will has really made me think about my own service to him. I want to thank you for opening my eyes to my life and his service. May God bless you and keep you.

Paul Rumsey
Bronson MI

Great concert tonight! Thank you for taking the time for a quick handshake with my son and I. I think you made his year! Also, my son (7 1/2), during the prayer led by Tom, asked Jesus into his heart enthusiastically. He also asked when the next time you were coming to town, I think you have a fan...lol. He also asked me to look into having you at our church, so I will be looking into that.

I just wanted to write to tell you how much I loved the show you guys did in East Lansing. I loved every minute. I had to save my voice for leading worship on Sunday morning, but I still felt it going some on Sunday. I really enjoy your music and more importantly message with the music. You are definitely putting your musical gifts to use for the kingdom. May God bless you as you continue to minister through music that rocks.

All I wanted to do when I got home was pick up my guitar! Yet, I had sermon notes to work through, thus why we did not stick around long afterward. My Sunday ministry took precedent, although it would have been awesome to meet you guys.

Pastor Bart Hall
Jackson MI

Thank you all for coming. The concert was great. What a wonderful ministry!
