5. HOW YOU CAN HEAR AND REQUEST OUR NEW SINGLE

As we mentioned last week, we are about to release our third single from "Grace Period," a remix of "How You Rewind Me," which will sound a little different than the one on the CD. We rerecorded the vocals to give them a harder rock edge and the music is a little tighter, although the single retains the lyrics and the feel of the original parody. We are sending the "How You Rewind Me" remix to radio today, so your local Christian rock station should have their copy by Monday at the latest.

If you'd like to hear more ApologetiX on your local Christian rock station, please go the website below, where you can get your own free MP3 copy of the "How You Rewind Me" remix, and get info on how to contact your local station to request it.

Please note: If this link doesn't work immediately, please try again within 24 hours. Our webmaster may not have time to get it up before you receive your newsletter, but we wanted to get you this information right away! Here's the link:

6. "GRACE PERIOD" CDS GOING TO 6,800 CHURCHES

ApologetiX "Grace Period" CDs will soon be on their way to over 6,800 churches, thanks to interl'inc, a Christian music resource company that's spent the last 19 years helping youth leaders across the world use Christian music as a ministry tool. Interl'inc sends out four boxes a year packed with CDs, Bible studies, music videos, stickers, posters, etc. The boxes are sent all over the world to mainly youth groups, and they've selected our latest CD, "Grace Period," to be included in their May 26 mailing.

For more information on this project and other youth resources, contact interl'inc at 800-725-3300 or view online at www.interlinc-online.com .

7. CEITH'S CORNER?

Keith Haynie, bass player for ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band) here. The headline above is pronounced "Keith's Corner." It's a parody of Karl's Korner ó get it?

Spring or summer cleaning? Getting ready to throw that old video game system and games away. Don't do it. Let me know what you have. Video game collecting is my hobby. Atari(all systems),Odyssey 1 and 2, Atari Computer, TI 99, Astrocade, Vectrex, Fairfield, Arcadia, Intellivision, Colecovision, Nintendo (all systems),Pong, Sega Genesis(32x and Sega CD) and any other game system not mentioned. I am not in it for the money. I enjoy collecting and want to complete my collection. E-mail me at Keith@apologetix.com with a list of systems and games and price. Thank you very much.

Editor's Note: Keith is such a fan of old video games and 8-track tapes that we have recently started calling his family "The Cartridge Family."

8. ENCOURAGEMENT FROM A TEACHER

We just got this great email from a teacher in Springfield MO:

"I was introduced to your music through a friend and have been listening to it ever since (about four months now). I'm a teacher who is not afraid to pop in your music after school or at a break and let it crank. Several of the students, 4th and 5th grade elementary students, hear the music and right away think it's the music they listen to ('Real Sin Savior'...'Flurry'...etc). Suddenly they realize it's a bit different. Curious, they start to listen to words. (Isn't it funny how so many worldly people say that kids only listen to the music and not the words, yet they can recite every word for any song on the radio?).

Many of them listen and laugh (Smooth Grandmama), and some start to ask questions. A few in class, who are Christian, seem to become a little bit bolder to express their faith. They start to share with the students what they know about God and what the songs are saying (as best as they can). I can answer any question they ask...I just wish can't could ask them a question or two (Some of your songs do that for me) that would get 'too' spiritual. Even though I am not allowed to come out and say what I really want to say, those moments of discussion, along the words God has given to you guys by using popular songs, lets me share and show the hope there is in Christ.

Seeds are being spread out every day....and even though I may never in my lifetime see what they might become or how God may use them in the future, I wanted you to know what you are doing works. I know you already knew that, but sometimes encouragement with a testimony is needed. Even in elementary schools, kids are dying to find hope, love, and acceptance in a world that 'tries' to teach them there is no hope and they came from nothing. All of them are looking for something to believe in that is greater than their problems. It's Jesus!!! I do pray that the testimony I live in my class will tell them about a loving Savior and make them ask me a question, "There is something cool about you. What makes you so happy?" and/or, "How do I get it?"

Thank you again and God bless...Your ministry is in my prayers,

Troy K. Springfield, Missouri

Editor's note: We just got word that the tornadoes in Missouri the other day hit Troy's home. Here's an update in his own words:

I just thought I'd let you guys know that our God is awesome. My wife, daughter, and I were home when that tornado that went through southwest Missouri hit. It literally went through our backyard. Our roof was almost ripped off, our privacy fence no longer exists, we lost two trees by the wind twisting them out of the ground only leaving a cylinder of hole (and throwing them into our neighbor and my house), and damaged our siding pretty bad. It's amazing how in the eye of a storm the faith that is formed......all we did was PRAY>>PRAY>>>PRAY!!! I swear there had to be angels standing there holding our house down because several homes around our are destroyed. After putting tarps on the roof to protect it from rain, I wanted so badly to put the words on the top for all to see who fly by ("As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.") It was either that or "Have seen my other lawn chair?" Please keep the people in Battlefield (Where we live) in your prayers. Thank you.

9. ENCOURAGEMENT FROM A YOUTH MINISTER

We recently received this email from a youth minister in Maryland:

Dear Guys at ApologetiX,

I am so thankful that Interlinc picked you guys to be in the box. The youth in my church love your music and message and are waiting patiently for a new CD. I wanted to say thanks for all that you do to further the kingdom of God. One of the youth in my church found Christ after hearing the message presented in Blurry and Life Restored. Anyways don't want to take much more of your time just wanted to say thanks.

Chris Johnson, Youth Minister Lynnhaven Baptist Church Pocomoke City, MD

11. PRAYER REQUEST

Here's a prayer request from Deb Messner, wife of ApologetiX lead guitarist/producer Karl Messner:

"My Grandma, Pauline, was diagnosed several weeks ago with lung cancer. She has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation to combat it, and we just got an update yesterday on her current status. She had a CAT scan and some blood work, and her doctors came in smiling with the results. The tumors have "reduced in size significantly" and they were "amazed" at the progress she has made so far. Her radiation treatments are done but she's still undergoing chemotherapy. She has had very few side affects so far from the treatments, which is certainly a blessing in itself. Our family is very thankful for your support, and ask that you please continue to keep her in your prayers - she definitely still needs them! Thank you!"

Thanks, everybody!

Apologetically,

J.

1 John 1:8-10
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
