Don't Stop Till Nashville

Our new CD, Wise Up and Rock, features a new Christmas song, "Don't Stop Till Egypt." This week, we noticed that song had made it the whole way up to #2 on our iTunes bestsellers list and #4 on our Amazonmp3.com list. Then we got an email from longtime fan Chad Carter in Murfeesboro TN that helped explain why:I was sitting at my desk and heard music coming from the other room. I thought, "Is that Journey?" Listening more closely, I thought, "It actually sounds like the ApologetiX lyrics, but I'm the only one in the office who's even heard of ApologetiX!" (Well, aside from those who have heard about you because of me, that is.) Anyway, I followed the music, trying to figure out if it was my coworker or my boss listening. It was my coworker, so I asked, "Are you listening to Journey?"
"No," she said. "It's ApologetiX."
She was listening to "Don't Stop Till Egypt" on YouTube. She said she'd heard the song being talked about on 94.1 FM the Fish the day before. Then that morning, the morning show host started talking about it again and promised to play it. The morning show host, by the way, is Jaci Valesquez. The song began playing as my coworker came into work, so she looked it up online since she couldn't stay in her car to do so. Many of you know who Jaci Valasquez is. She has recorded 16 number-one Christian singles and has been honored with seven Dove Awards.
Jaci is the co-host, with Doug Griffin, of a very popular Christian morning show in Nashville. Doug has been a booster of ApologetiX since the 1990's, and his early airplay of ApologetiX indirectly resulted in lead singer J. Jackson meeting his wife, Lisa. Now we have yet another blessing to thank him for.
