J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band) here.

Thanks to everybody who came to see us in Footville WI last weekend. Hmm ... let's see: Morning concert, outdoor concert, Wisconsin concert. Can you say brrrrr? You know how it always looks so cool in the videos when the bands are playing outside with the wind blowing through their hair? Well, it FEELS cool, too. In fact, it feels downright COLD! The temperature even climbed into the 50's. You know what they call the 50's in Wisconsin, don't you? "Happy Days!" LOL The funniest thing of all is that our drummer, Bill Rieger, and I still ended up with sunburn!

Our lead guitarist/producer, Karl Messner, just got back to Pittsburgh last night from Gospel Music Association (GMA) Week in Nashville. Our publicist and booking agent, Kathleen Burke, stayed an extra day and wound up sitting next to Christian music legend Steven Curtis Chapman, so she had Steven give Karl a call tonight. Pretty cool, huh? Since Karl had a more interesting week than I did, I'm going to turn things over to him.

Karl's Korner
I had a great time in Music City, USA representing ApologetiX this past week. It was really wild! When you walked into the lobby of the Renaissance hotel in Nashville, GMA headquarters, you were overwhelmed by a Lobby full of CCM stars and starlets. Four or five huge banners were hanging and one of them was for us ;) This is a once a year chance to really see everybody in Christian Music and Media, and if anyone wants to interview or film us- it's a great opportunity. I did over 35 interviews, co-hosted two television shows, interviewed on a couple others, and got to see all our old friends. Here are some highlights: http://www.apologetix.com/gma.html

3. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TIMMY D. CONCERT IN PHILLY?

O.K., if we're playing in Houston next Saturday, what happened to the Timmy D. concert in Philadelphia we were planning for the same date? Well, we hadn't finalized the plans yet for that concert, so we still had some flexibility when the radio station in Houston called and asked if we could do the festival next Saturday. Since we've had so many requests from fans in Texas, and particularly in Houston, we wanted to seize the opportunity, and Timmy D. was quite supportive.

Timmy D. and our booking agent, Kathleen Burke, are currently trying to work out an alternate date. We had originally planned to just postpone it till the following day, but the venue wasn't available for Sunday ... and that date was also Mother's Day. Anyway, the bottom line is that we still are planning to play the Timmy D. concert in Philly/NJ, and we apologize for having to shift the date. If you'd like to email Timmy D. in the meantime, here's the email where he can be reached: timmyd@safeplace.net

6. "LIFESTYLES" HITS U.S. TOP 30, #1 IN VENEZUELA

Our latest single, "Lifestyles of the Rich & Nameless," hit the top 30 on the R&R national Christian Rock charts this week. Thanks to all of you who have played it, requested it and supported us. Meanwhile, in Venezuela, it just hit #1 -- you may recall in last week's email, it was at #10! FYI, our previous single, "Look Yourself," is holding at #2 on that same Venezuelan chart. Amazing!

Apologetically,

J.
