This Past Weekend in South Central PA
Wed., Mar. 14. 2012 4:08pm EDT
The place was packed this past weekend at our concert in the aptly named Mount Joy PA. The full house was a pleasant contrast to our van's gas tank on the way home, which was running on empty for quite some time before we finally found a fueling place that wasn't closed. But God got us gas just in time.
Here's an awesome email we got from our concert coordinator:Saturday's concert was just incredible! Everyone was blown away-- on their feet, clapping and dancing, standing on pews-- even my father-in-law couldn't stand still! The crowd must have gotten the message of "Dancing with the Ark," we were all caught up in the moment.
Since the show, people have taken to greeting me with "I love apostle Paul!" instead of "hello," and everyone who got a chance to speak with members of the band came away blessed by the experience. Bobby, the opening act, was touched that you guys prayed for him before he went on, and loved that your crew ran their lights during his performance, too.
More than a few concert-goers asked me if this was going to be an annual thing -- I hope so! It was amazing to see God working through so many people to not only make the concert possible, but to make it spectacular. And especially now that people know what to expect, I think there could be an even greater response next time.
I've been following ApologetiX for over 10 years, my first concert was the eve of the release of Keep the Change. I never thought I'd have the opportunity to host a concert, but I'm so glad that my church could serve as a conduit for your message, your music, and your ministry.
Thank you for that opportunity, thank you for the influence you've had on my life and others, thank you for all the work you do to further His Kingdom, and thank you for the best Saturday night that Mount Joy has ever seen!

Mount Joy PA We also received this email from a mother who attended with her teenage son:I wanted to say thank you for talking with my son at the Mount Joy concert on Saturday. I don't know if you remember him, but you made a great impact on him. He enjoyed meeting you. I wanted you to know talking to you meant so much to him and so did meeting the band. My son has some problems with meeting people and making friends. It's hard for him sometimes, so seeing that smile on his face after meeting you meant so much to me. Editor's Note: Yes, we certainly do remember her son (we kept names and addresses out of this section for privacy's sake), but it was just as special for us, and we were so touched to receive that email afterward.Special thanks to:
Our concert coordinator: Brent Urmey
Our merchandise coordinators: Jenn and Nikki
Our opening act: Bobby Wehner
Our driver: Rich Polick
Our crew: Greg, Chris, and the Brothers Gross
Honorable mention:
Dugway Tom Duryea and his wife, Karen, who traveled over 2100 miles from Dugway UT (with a stop-off in Washington DC) to the concert. Tom and Karen have seen us in Salt Lake City before, but not Pennsylvania.
Ironically, also in attendance in Mount Joy was Bob Jones of Chambersburg PA, who last year traveled over 2100 miles to see us in Salt Lake City UT. So, they're charter members of the ultra-rare Utah-Pennsylvania ApologetiX concert club!
