Bus Transmission Burns Out, Cancels Show

The transmission in our bus burned out in Dayton OH en route to our concert last Friday in Urbana IL, forcing us to cancel that show. After inquiring at several repair places, we finally found one that could and would do the repairs, but the total damages were over $3500.
We tried to save money by getting a used transmission, but our 1996 bus needs year-specific parts, and 20 surrounding junkyards didn't have one. We were able to get a reconditioned one installed for a little over $3500, which is still cheaper than a brand-new transmission and does come with a three- year warrantee.
The repair work wasn't done until late Monday afternoon, but the repair shop owners graciously lent us their mini-bus in the meantime so we were able to still do last Saturday's shows in Green Bay. That was a godsend, and we are very grateful to Him and to them for that.
As you might imagine, it was a big hit to our finances to lose a transmission and a concert on the same day. Please keep us in prayer for God's provision.
