The Plane Truth About Fewer Concerts
Thu., Nov. 22. 2012 11:24pm EST
Bus problems weren't the only reason we played fewer concerts this year ... another big one was plane problems.
We usually fly to shows that are over a thousand miles from Pittsburgh, because of time constraints, band members with other jobs, and wear and tear on the bus.
Unfortunately, rising airfare costs have made increasingly expensive. Consequently, less than two percent of our 2012 concerts were flying gigs, compared to 20 percent in 2010 and 2011.
That limited us to playing the eastern half of the United States, whereas we usually like to play 30-40 states per year.
We really missed our friends and fans in the Northwest, Southwest, and Deep South. Please pray us back there in 2013.
