Come See New Parodies at Worship Concert
Thu., Aug. 22. 2013 10:52am EDT
J. Jackson from ApologetiX here again.
As most of you know, I sometimes lead worship at my church when we're not on the road. We have a great worship team with many talented singers and instrumentalists, some of whom appeared on our 20:20 projects last year.
Our music director, Greg Macaluso, was Wayne Newton's music director in Las Vegas and Branson for many years, and he's a pleasure to serve with.
Our worship team will do a special free concert this Sunday with the church's band (guitars, bass, keyboards, piano, and a full brass section). I'll be singing a number of songs with them, including two new parodies I wrote which you've never heard us do in ApologetiX, because they require a full brass section.
We plan to record those parodies that night. We recorded both the 20:20 projects and the Soundproof CD at my church, too.
The church is having a free festival all afternoon, featuring games, activities and food, followed by the concert. I'd like to invite all of our fans to this event. Here are the details:
Sunday, August 25
(festival starts at 3:30 p.m., concert at 7 p.m.)
New Community Church
3100 Wexford Road
Wexford PA 15090
Wexford is just 15 miles north of Pittsburgh. Because it's summertime in Western Pennsylvania, there is road construction and detours. If you plan to come, please check http://www.nccinwexford.org/route-910-road-work for the best route.
