Messianic in Mississippi: It Sure Beats Sleepless in Seattle!

We're always thrilled when God blesses us with friends and fans who are Messianic Jews. One of the pastors of J's old church, a dear friend, is a Messianic Jew, as are a few other good friends of the band. J. has been a fan of Jews for Jesus for quite sometime and has read much of their literature, including a great book titled "Jesus for Jews."
Consequently, it was a big thrill to receive encouragement after last Saturday's show in Columbus MS from Vann Lantz, the leader of a congregation of Messianic Jews in Alabama (Davar Emet Ministries), who attended the show with his son. We played "Love the Jews" during the show, and Vann enjoyed the song so much we gave him a copy of our "Grace Period" CD.
Vann sent a very kind follow-up email. Here's an excerpt:
I wanted to again thank you and the band for your generousity Saturday night. Our congregation at Davar Emet was very excited when they heard "Love The Jews" and "YHWH."
Again, as a Messianic Jew thank you for both of these songs. I know that it was Adonai alone that placed these words in your heart.
Also, it was a blast to see the look on my son's face as he witnessed his dad revert to his childhood days and rock to the old music that I listened to as I was growing up. And I am so pleased that he got to hear it with the right words in them.
I know what I am going to be giving some folks for Channukah presents this year.
If you guys ever make it back down this way again (and I am praying that you do...alot!) I will be there. My wife and daugther were a little bummed that they didn't get to make it.
May Adonai keep you and bless you! May Adonai show you His face and give you His favor! May Adonai lift up His countenance before you and give all of you His peace!
