Current Needs and Upcoming Plans

J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX here.
There are two things you've come to expect from us: biblical parodies and appeal letters, right? :)
Based on all the appeal letters I get from other ministries, that's pretty common in this economy. This goes out to all of our fans, not just you.
Seriously, I don't send them until we're up against (or past) significant deadlines on our bills. But that's where we are this week.
I'd rather run a sale or release a new CD or single. But we've already done that and still have some big needs.
Our fans tell me to just be honest about our needs. More importantly, after much prayer, I think that's where God is leading me right now.
At times like this, I feel like Peter: "Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say and let down the nets."
Both the band and my family have some serious bills due (and overdue) this week. The band is still a few months behind on my paychecks, too. We've been able to survive through God's provision in many mysterious ways, and if this email helps, it'll still be His provision.
Early this year, we decided to produce as much new music as possible and make it available digitally to fans on a donation basis. Some give a lot and some give a penny. Some can't afford anything, and we give it to them for free. How much we make doesn't matter to me as long as we can keep doing it.
I dreamed of getting 50 songs done this year. It's only August, and we've already finished 35, having released 28. Four more are almost complete and nine others are already in production. That's 48 songs, and we're only three-fifths of the way through the year. With more to come.
Songs we're currently working on include the following topics:
Jesus predicting His betrayal at the Last Supper, pulling down strongholds, the epistle to Philemon, Elisha's healing of Naaman the leper, Jesus' prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, freedom through Christ, growing in faith, serving God by serving others, substitutionary atonement, trusting God in the midst of trials, witnessing to loved ones, the healing of a demoniac boy, tithing, a rebuke to atheists, Christ's return, Samaria, Mary Magdalene, and much more.
Our mission is to reach the lost and teach the rest, and I believe God is granting us much success. We hear many incredible stories of our parodies being used to lead people to the Lord while edifying and encouraging those who already belong to Him.
If you'd like to be a part of that mission, any of these four things would help:
1. Pray (if that's all you can do, it's plenty, and it's powerful!)
2. Get our CDs, songbook, or downloads at http://apologetix.com/store
3. Donate online at: http://apologetix.com/store/store-donate.php
4. Donate by check payable to "ApologetiX" and sent to ApologetiX, 208 Charlemma Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15214-1414
Although the donations aren't tax deductible, they will be put to good use immediately. Thank you and God bless you.
NOTE: Many of you are facing financial hardships yourselves. If that's the case, don't worry about giving to us. Instead, we'd love to send you some free music downloads to encourage you. Just email at this address and let me know.
