ApologetiX Needs Help for the Holidays Again
Thu., Dec. 18. 2014 12:27pm EST
J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX here.
You know what my least-favorite holiday tradition is? Writing letters like this one, which goes to all of our fans. Sorry, but we need help and prayers again.
The band has been able to keep fairly current with most of our bills lately … until now … but it's about five months behind on my paychecks. My wife and I get a big tax refund (because of our five kids), which has allowed the band to delay paying me, but now we need some relief ourselves.
And there are other significant band bills about to come due. Winter's always tough, and maintaining a ministry costs money year 'round.
This has been my favorite year in the band. It's been great working with old bandmates, fellow church members, other musician friends, and even our kids … 30 performers in all. And it's not just the most quantity of music we've ever produced; it's the best quality.
There are many more songs in production, and the new ideas and lyrics keep coming. I know they're all gifts from God, and I can't wait to share them with you. At our current pace, we should release our 500th song by the end of next year!
God's Word endures forever, so the music we've made should continue to impact lives long after we're gone. Our mission remains the same: reach the lost and teach the rest. We continue to get letters from all around the United States and the world telling us that mission is succeeding.
If you'd like to help us continue to do that, any of these four things would help:
1. Pray (if that's all you can do, it's plenty, and it's powerful!)
2. Get our CDs, songbook, or downloads at apologetix.com/store
3. Donate online at: apologetix.com/store/store-donate.php
4. Donate by check payable to "ApologetiX" and sent to ApologetiX, 208 Charlemma Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15214-1414
Although the donations aren't tax deductible, they will be put to good use immediately. Thank you and God bless you.
If you're in a similar situation, don't worry about us. Send me an email, and we'll be happy to pray for you and send some free music downloads to encourage you.
