"Apol-acoustiX": Pre-order, Save $3, Get Bonus CD

One of the biggest trends in the 90's was for artists to release "Unplugged" projects. Everyone from Clapton to KISS did it ... except us. That's ironic, considering we played a lot of acoustic stuff in our early days at Bible studies and coffee houses. Of course, we wouldn't be too keen on releasing any of those old performances. We wish we'd known then what we know now in terms of playing, singing, songwriting and recording. Well, we can't rewrite history, but we can rewrite, re-perform, and re-record some of those old songs (and some newer ones), being able to apply a decade's worth of experience. So that's what we did.
Prepare yourself for "Apol-acoustiX," the first all-acoustic ApologetiX CD.
"Apol-acoustiX" features 12 acoustic parodies (11 of which have never appeared in any form on an ApologetiX CD) of some of the biggest names in rock-and-roll history, including Elvis, the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, the Doors, Simon & Garfunkel and the Monkees, plus a few modern artists that we will reveal in the weeks to come.
Unlike previous ApologetiX fan-club-only releases, "Apol-acoustiX" will come with an official CD booklet. It's not slated to be available in stores, but this is no quickie recording. The guitar and vocal parts are taking about as long to record for this project as they do for our regular releases. It's acoustic, but that doesn't mean it isn't perfectionistic!
The project is well into production, and we anticipate it will be ready to ship in February, but we are taking pre-orders now.
Pre-order "Apol-acoustiX" now and get the following benefits:
1. You'll get $3 off the regular price.
2. You'll automatically be registered for a chance to win the ApologetiX iPod (See website or current newsletter for more info.)
3. You'll get a free copy of our "Have Yourself a Parody Little Christmas" CD (while supplies last). Originally released in 2001, the Christmas CD features "Micah No. 5," "Late December 5 or 6 B.C. (O Holy Night)," "Santa Claus," "Hotel Can't Afford Ya," "Christmasnite" and "Manger." Since these songs are all now available on either "Keep the Change" or "New & Used Hits," we are discontinuing the Christmas CD, so it's sure to become a collector's item.
