"Isn't Wasn't Ain't" Just About "Is"
Thu., Mar. 3. 2005 1:17am EST

Although the tracks for our "Isn't Wasn't Ain't (Director's Cut)" CD were recorded in 1993, they're being remastered right now, and we hope to ship the final master out for duplication tomorrow. That means we should be able to start shipping them out to you in mid-March.

Pre-order "Isn't Wasn't Ain't (Director's Cut)" now and save $3 off the $12.99 price. "Isn't Wasn't Ain't (Director's Cut)" is not available in stores.

The CD booklet and tray card were sent to the printer today, and we really think you're going to appreciate the extra time that went into them. When we offered "Isn't Wasn't Ain't" in 2003, it had two fewer tracks, came in a slimline case and had no CD booklet or tray card. The "Isn't Wasn't Ain't (Director's Cut)" CD comes in a full-size case with two never-before-on-CD tracks, plus a tray card and CD booklet featuring the original "Isn't Wasn't Ain't" artwork and lots of photos from the early days of ApologetiX, including:

- all the musicians who played on "Isn't Wasn't Ain't"
- our first concert performance in March 1992
- team photo with our first three drummers, taken after the last concert at the legendary Paradise Club
- the oldest known photo of J. and Karl playing together in existence (from 1990, a month or so after they started)!

Here's a complete track listing:

Isn't Wasn't Ain't ("Livin' Lovin' Maid" by Led Zeppelin)
David and Goliath ("Paperback Writer" by the Beatles)
Lions ("Signs" by Five Man Electrical Band and Tesla)
Patients ("Patience" by Guns n' Roses)
Help Me, Rhoda ("Help Me, Rhonda" by the Beach Boys)
That Daughter ("Black Water" by the Doobie Brothers)
Little Esther ("Little Sister" by Elvis Presley)
Don't Try ("Don't Cry" by Guns n' Roses)
I Found the Answer There ("I Saw Her Standing There" by the Beatles)
Be Like David Was ("Feel Like Makin' Love" by Bad Company)
Ain't That a Miracle ("Pink Houses" by John Cougar Mellencamp)
Faith Pt. 2 ("Faith" by George Michael)
Christians Doin' Music ("Listen to the Music" by the Doobie Brothers)
What is and Will Forever Be ("What is What Should Never Be" by Led Zeppelin)
Matthew 9 ("I Feel Fine" by the Beatles)
He Really Got Mad ("You Really Got Me" by the Kinks and Van Halen)
Love Ain't Nothin' ("Long Train Running" by the Doobie Brothers)
Verynice City ("Paradise City" by Guns n' Roses)
God I Like About You ("What I Like About You" by the Romantics)
Mrs. Protestant ("Mrs. Robinson" by Simon & Garfunkel)

Warning: If you're looking for stellar performances, "Isn't Wasn't Ain't: The Director's Cut" isn't, wasn't, ain't the CD for you. It's a good time capsule from 1993 that will let you see how we sounded in our formative years, and it contains some great parody lyrics, but we had a lot to learn.

Please note: If you order "Isn't Wasn't Ain't (Director's Cut)" and/or "Apol-acoustiX," your credit card will be charged at the time you place your order. If you order those titles along with other CDs, your entire order will be shipped together when those two CD's are available, which enables us to keep your shipping cost down.
