Fans React to New Single

Two weeks ago, we said that we had "remakes of two songs we originally recorded back in the 1990's coming your way soon — one with all-new lyrics and an all-new title (but the same theme) and another with the same lyrics and a totally different musical approach." Based on the initial fan response this week, it sounds like they're as excited as we are:I've been waiting for you to do an updated version of "Verynice City"! That was my favorite cut from Isn't, Wasn't, Ain't! And I always liked the Elton John version of "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" better than the original Beatles' version, so I'm glad that you redid that one too!

Yay! I have always hoped you would redo "Verynice City." I have loved the original song and liked the parody even more, but on the parody I kept hearing you say, "Hey, uh, something just occurred to me," and while extremely funny and kind of embarrassing, it took away from the song. This new version is SOOO good! Congratulations on a job well done!

Very impressive work with the new singles! My favorite one is "Very Last City", especially since I grew up with "Paradise City". Everyone did a masterful job with the instrumentation, and the vocals are stellar as always. What I was most impressed with is the drumming. I am a fan of emphasis on drums and they definitely came out massive! The re-write lyrics are also impressive, and very catchy and relevant.

One of my absolute favorite video games of all time is Burnout Paradise City, an open-world driving game with fun events that include road-rage events. It came out in 2008 and I absolutely loved playing it on XBox 360. I own a PS4 and back in March, much to my surprise, Burnout Paradise City was remastered and released on PS4.
I was so happy and I still love playing that game even though it's the same game but with better graphics 10 years later. But that game made me think about "Very Nice City." So how cool a few months later, you've released your remake with new words and a new title, not a remastered edition years later.
