ApX & Timmy D Back on the Air in Philly
Fri., Sep. 14. 2018 3:58pm EDT
ApX lead singer and lyricist J. Jackson did a radio interview with an old friend in Philly on Wednesday. Tim DeMoss (a.k.a. "Timmy D") is back on the air with a new show — the Tim DeMoss Show — weekdays from 4-5 p.m. on AM 560 WFIL Philadelphia, and he asked J. to be one of his first guests.
Although the show was already broadcast, Timmy D says he's "hoping to get a podcast thing going before long. If/when that happens, I'll let you know in case you want folks to be able to listen to it."
Timmy D was hugely influential in building our fanbase in Philadelphia in the early 2000's and has been ever since. He played our parodies on the air and interviewed us multiple times (on the phone and in studio) on his morning show at WZZD and later on WORD.
He also was instrumental in getting us to play at Veterans Stadium, the Philadelphia Spectrum (twice), Wachovia Center, and Six Flags New Jersey (three times).
Most importantly, he's a great guy and a real family man, and we've stayed in touch with him through the years. We're very happy that he's back on the air.
