Where Have You Gone, Joe Cataneo?
Sat., Oct. 20. 2018 3:30pm EDT
ApologetiX was pleased to welcome Joltin' Joe Cataneo (yes, it's pronounced "Ca-TAN-e-o") back into the studio Tuesday. Joe recorded all the guitars for a song that's slated to be on the single after the one we're releasing this weekend.
You've already heard Joe's handiwork on 15 other ApX parodies in the past four years:
"Act Selfless" (2015)
"All You Gotta Do" (2016)
"Campaign to Jehovah" (2018)
"Confiscated" (2017)
"Doubter" (2016)
"Holy Land" (2016)
"Nain" (2017)
"No Exclusions" (2017)
"On the Road, Away from Home" (2017)
"Remember (Lot's Wife)" (2017)
"Sa-Maria" (2015)
"Selling the Dogma" (2017)
"Straight Street" (2017)
"Tried to Find Lots of Ways" (2016)
"You Gotta Go" (2018)
Joe's wife, Kristen, shared vocal duties with J.'s daughter, Janna, on the song "Desperate Queen," in 2015. She also sang the highest vocals at the end of "Under the Breath" on our Apoplectic CD in 2014.
Both Cataneos are on the worship team with ApX drummer Jimmy "Vegas" Tanner at Jesus Fellowship church in Bethel Park PA. In fact, Joe is the worship leader there.
Joe is a professional musician who plays a lot of gigs in the Greater Pittsburgh area. He even played guitar onstage with Toby Keith this summer. How do you like him now? :)
