Clues for Our 19th Single of '19
Fri., Oct. 11. 2019 6:14pm EDT
We plan to release our 19th single of 2019 by Sunday night, Lord willing. Here are the clues to help you figure out which artists we're spoofing:
King Xerxes ruled over a man's world, and Queen Vashti looked so fine, but she hurt his pride and passion, so he sent her away without even one last, cold kiss. Though Esther took no satisfaction in social climbing, you can't get away from destiny. But this song's mainly about Vashti, from Xerxes' perspective, suitable for the king's chorale.
Remember James and John, the Sons of Thunder? They had one rainy wish after they'd come in from the storm: to be Jesus' right-and-left-hand men once He came into power. Subtle as machine guns, they went straight ahead and asked. His response forced their dreams to make a crash landing into their castles made of sand.
Once the new single is released, we'll announce it on our website and Facebook.
We currently have 135 other sets of downloads available for a donation of any size, including our previous release, "Some Signs and Wonders Follow" and "Get Serene," featuring parodies of Grand Funk and Bush.
