Rock Thru the Bible with ApX: A New Bible-Study Tool
Fri., Apr. 22. 2022 5:00pm EDT
We began another trip through the Bible on Wednesday. This time around, longtime ApX fan and friend David Michael brought snacks.
David is making weekly lists of ApologetiX parodies to go with each day's readings (whenever possible) and weekly playlists of corresponding ApX lyric videos for those parodies on YouTube (the vast majority of which were made by other ApX fans), so you can listen and read along!
When he sent us this initial list, David said the following:
I'm mainly trying to keep a song used once out of the whole year (whole Bible) but maybe twice in certain cases. These are definitely my interpretations! But it doesn't hurt my feelings on any input.
This won't be so much chronological but will endeavor to follow along with your Bible-reading plan. I have no idea how I'll do that when the Gospels come around, but I will pray to do my best on that part!
The YouTube links are with the main goal of having lyrics on the screen with the best version available. I'm putting the lyrics criteria above the version on this, but most all of the cases should be great on both of those.
Within each day, I'm trying to put that in Bible reading order. Sometimes there may be a little overlap into another day but I think of what to do on a per case basis.
Why am I doing this? To learn the Bible better each day, to grow closer in my relationship with the LORD JESUS Christ each day. I'm hoping to also create a musical accompaniment to a one-year Bible-reading plan such as yours.
