"Apol-acoustiX" Hits Stores June 1
Wed., Jun. 1. 2005 12:35am EDT

Our 11th CD, "Apol-acoustiX," which has been available to our online fans for two months now, finally hits Christian bookstores nationwide, Wednesday, June 1.

"Apol-acoustiX" features 12 acoustic parodies of some of the biggest names in rock history, including Elvis, the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, the Monkees, the Doors, Kid Rock, Green Day and others.

The project started in a similar way to Third Day's "Offerings" -- we wanted to record something especially for our fan club -- but as we immersed ourselves in the project, we really liked the way it was turning out, so we spent a lot of extra time on it -- and the response from our fans has been so great that we've decided to release it to stores.

Here are some of the fan responses:

"I wanted to say hi and that I LOVE the CD that I received yesterday!!!! I honestly think that it is my favorite so far. I love all of the music that you guys play, but there is something really special about this one!! It is so much more special with just the guitars and the voices....it really touched my heart. There were a couple of songs that brought tears to my eyes because they touched me so deeply. You guys are blessed with such talent!!"

Dottie Bell
Columbia, LA

"Oh -- my -- goodness! You guys have done it again. The sounds of the music from my youth and the lyrics from God. It just doesn't get much better than this."

Larry Wilson
Tyler TX

"I opened my mail box to find I had received my copy of Apol-acoustiX. In a word, AMEN! To hear 'Thank You' done in such an awesome manner - WOW. To think you even knew who Extreme was - DOUBLE WOW :) - although I am not sure why I am suprised - but I digress. Keep it up guys. Already on the third time through ..."

Mike "Joby" Franczek
New Cumberland WV

"Awesome...what can I say....totally awesome...you guys are and so is Jesus the Lord! The parodies are 'outta sight'...the guitar work on the 'Last Rain the Clouds Spill' is dynamite, Karl! My son and/or other brothers and sisters may "steal" my CD from you guys! Whoah!"

Charles North
Austin TX

"The 'Apol-acoustiX' CD is amazing. There is something about guitars and harmonized vocals that is so beautiful. Kinda like every word is sung from the heart. My pastor said on Sunday during worship time to let our praise to Him come from deep in our heart, deep in our soul, to give Him all that we absolutely have inside us. I believe you guys have accomplished this. I thank God that He has given you all this talent and thank you for using your talent the way you do."

Angela Morgan
Bellevue NE

"The new 'Apol-acoustiX' album is my wife's favorite! Don't stop writing the clever and doctrinally accurate lyrics are phenomenal."

Craig T. Edwards, Esq.
Perkasie, PA

"I love 'Apol-acoustiX!' My favorite thing is the way that you turned the worldly love ballad 'Picture' into a true love ballad with 'Scripture.' What a beautiful song that reminds us of God's love and longing for us. My family and I cracked up over the lyrics in 'Mediterranean Wholebook News' that remind us that there really is no book of Hezekiah. My father has been quoting from the book of Hezekiah for over 30 years. You guys are awesome!"

Jena Gartin
Louisville, KY

"I just got your new CD, 'Apol-acoustiX.' This is your best work. What you did with Zep's 'Thank You' is my fav, from all your CDs you have made. I play them at work all the time."

Philip Piperakis
Largo, FL
