This Past Weekend in Green Bay WI
Mon., Nov. 28. 2005 4:50pm EST
We kicked off our "New & Used Hits" tour at the Cup O' Joy on November 27, 2004. This past Saturday, November 26, we concluded it, having played 102 concerts in 32 states in 365 days.
Once again, the Cup O' Joy carried on the Green Bay tradition with packed houses for both of our concerts. Speaking of Packers, ApologetiX lead guitarist/producer Karl Messner ran into the Green Bay Packers (but was unfortunately unable to make it into the end zone) at the airport on Saturday. The rest of us drove to the concert, but we flew Karl there in order to maximize his time in the studio while putting the finishing touches on our new CD and DVD projects.
Thanks to Jan O., Mark, Ted, Quinn, and the rest of the staff at the Cup for making everything go so smoothly. Thanks to Kid, Scotty and Patty at WORQ in Green Bay and to Scott at WEMI in Appleton for promoting our shows so well. Thanks also to our occasional roadie Micah Clausen, who came along for the ride and helped out.
For the record, here are the states we played during the "New & Used Hits" tour: Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.
Of course, just cause that tour is over, doesn't mean our touring is over. We'll be in Kentucky and Ohio for three concerts this weekend, and North Dakota for three concerts next weekend. And we close the year in Alaska.
