ApologetiX & Arkansas Again?
Tue., Jan. 31. 2006 2:29am EST
Although we've only played Arkansas once (over three years ago) and our lead singer nearly killed himself riding a four-wheeler into a tree in back of the church, we have fond memories of the hospitality we were shown and we'd love to go back. We played near Texarkana TX in August 2005, but that was as close as we got. Here's an encouraging email we just received from The Natural State this past week:
I have to tell you that my family and I are hooked on ApologetiX! We heard you guys for the first time back in September or October. Everyone, even my husband (who is a believer, but considered Christian rock "boring") was interested in the music.
I bought my hubby and my two boys, each a CD for Christmas and it has been non-stop ApologetiX around here ever since. We listen in the the house, in the car, outside, when we are walking the track and the dog, when we are cleaning, etc. Ok, so then the glorious half-priced sale!!! I bought six more of your CD's which I will be doling out for various reasons. My seven-year-old came home with straight A's so I gave him "Grace Period." He was ecstatic.
I am now trying to figure out which of your concerts will come nearest to us (near Little Rock) that we might attend. In closing, I have told you this before but I have to reiterate, you all have such a tremendously unique and amazing gift, and you are using it to bless so many people, which indeed brings glory to God. I know he must be well pleased with you. We certainly are, and we are spreading the word about you to everyone we can; and we pray for your ministry so you can keep spreading THE WORD in this awesome way! Peace and Grace to all of you.
