This Past Weekend in Pittsburgh PA

It was indeed sweet to be home this past weekend in West Mifflin PA (Friday), North Apollo (Saturday), and Latrobe (Sunday). ApologetiX alumnus Bob Flaherty, who played drums for us from 1995-98 and also ran sound for us from 2002-03, even came home from North Carolina and sat in with us for a song Saturday.
As usual, we had an impressive supporting cast at each show. First and foremost, we have to thank the crew that brought our newly repaired band van and our old trailer back to us: Brandon Gross, Evan Gross, Tim Colford, Rick Bodenhagen, Randy Reason, and Rein Bontreger. We've detailed their exploits in a special article titled "The Best of Van Ailin'" elsewhere in this issue.

The amazing Leasure family (Derek, Brandi, Jenna, and Caleb) were in attendance for all three concerts and have now been to at least one ApologetiX concert for eight straight weeks! That's got to be some kind of record, but we'd have to double check with their fellow Ohio native Beth Davis to make sure. Beth, who also attended all three concerts this past weekend, holds the all-time record for concerts attended by a fan who is not a blood relation (84 concerts in 18 states!)
