Wanna Help the Band?

We're often asked if we accept donations. Yes we do. Like other ministries, we have many expenses. Although the donations aren't tax deductible, they are immediately put to good use. If you'd like to donate, thanks.

J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX here.

Happy belated Easter! He is still risen! Sorry I've been out of touch. I got sick last Tuesday, and I've been battling it ever since. I finally sought/got medical treatment this morning.

Meanwhile, other unforeseen factors affecting Jimmy and Wayne delayed our seventh single of 2019 by two weeks. It finally came out Sunday night, but we'd originally planned to be releasing our eighth single then.

Singles generate much of the donations we receive, and donations make up about 75 percent of our income, so missing a single hit us kind of hard. Consequently, I need to make an appeal. All things considered, I'm grateful God enabled us to go this long.

Our last appeal went out January 31, so it's been almost three months, but I can't hold out any longer. ApX has too many bills and expenses that need taken care of. Meanwhile, the band is significantly behind on paying me my salary again.

As stated in our last newsletter, my minivan bit the dust on April 12. We've had to rent a car since last Monday, because my wife works at a church, and Easter week activities necessitated that she spend long hours there every day. Mathematically speaking, 2 jobs + 5 kids @ 4 schools = 2 cars.

I need to get some funds so we can either buy a car or make a decent down payment on one. Plus my daughter's getting married on June 8, and there are still a lot of expenses to pay for there. So I need the band to do some catching up with me, too.

But I was sick and didn't want to send an appeal until we had a new single. So I made my appeals directly to God, and He has answered with something incredibly promising:

Last Thursday, a fan emailed unexpectedly and offered an incredible donor match. I haven't announced it till now, because of those other factors, but now it's time. You can read about it directly below:

Fan Will Match All Donations Up to $10,000
April 22, 2019, 2:28 pm EDT

A fan in Texas has offered to match all donations we receive through Thursday, May 1, at 11:59 p.m., up to a cumulative total of $10,000! If met, that would tie our largest donor match ever!

Yes, we're as amazed as you are! Although that unbelievable blessing was totally unexpected, the timing couldn't have been any better, because our current needs are great.

If you're interested in participating toward the matching donation, here's how you can help:

Online donations can be made at: http://www.apologetix.com/store/store-donate.php

Checks can be made payable to "ApologetiX" and sent to: ApologetiX, 208 Charlemma Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15214-1414.

If you donate for this week's single or any singles in our "downloads for a donation" series, your contribution still counts toward the match. For a complete list of songs, go to http://apologetix.com/news/news-details.php?news_id=3564

If you donate to our complete library (1200 tracks for $100) deal, your contribution also counts toward the match: http://apologetix.com/news/news-details.php?news_id=3825

If you donate to get one of our customized USB flash drives containing our complete library, your contribution still counts toward the match, too: http://apologetix.com/store/store.php#USB

Donations aren't tax deductible, but they're worth twice as much! If you can't participate, don't worry. We're trusting God to provide the match, since He already provided the donor. Please pray that He does. Thanks!

Kudos from Pastors, Teachers & Tattoo Artists
April 20, 2019, 4:25 pm EDT

Here are some encouraging emails we received recently from two pastors, a Bible teacher, and a tattoo artist:

I continue to faithfully listen to your amazing parodies and use them as a means of sharing God's message of love and hope with others. I particularly like the heavier tunes and am awestruck by the similarity in both instrumental and vocal delivering of the songs. You guys are remarkable and God continues to use your talents for His glory.

Pastor Michael Davy
Keswick ON
Canada

We're praying for you all! Keep up the great biblical reflection behind your content. You manage to sneak some pretty great substance into your lyrics and from there, your audience!

Pastor Phill Hooper
Duluth MN

I taught the last night of Apologetics Modular I, and I was teaching on the Resurrection and the Swoon Theory. I played "You May Be Bright" for the class and they loved it. Now I get a break until the Fall. Thanks for letting us use your songs for the class.

Dennis Knotts
Moreno Valley CA

I love your music and share it with others all the time. I'm a tattoo artist and play your music all the time. Keep kicking them out there!

Vincent Whitehead

Thank you, Pastor Michael, Pastor Phil, Sir Dennis, and Vincent!

Happy Birthday, Joey Cataneo!
April 22, 2019, 1:25 pm EDT

This year, Good Friday fell on the birthday of frequent ApX guest guitarist Joey Cataneo, who plays guitar on both songs on our new single. That makes 18 ApX songs in the past five years for him, and every one has been excellent!

His wife, Kristen, has contributed vocals to two others, giving us a total of 20 Cataneo contributions.

Here's a list of the songs Joe has played with ApX:

"Act Selfless"
"All You Gotta Do"
"Campaign to Jehovah"
"Confiscated"
"Doubter"
"Even Though"
"Holy Land"
"Nain"
"No Exclusions"
"On the Road, Away from Home"
"Sa-Maria"
"Selling the Dogma"

Romans 7:24-25
What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
