"Wordplay" Well on its Way

The final mix for the new ApologetiX CD, "Wordplay," was delivered early Monday morning to Nashville, where the final master will be made. It should arrive at the CD manufacturer on Tuesday. The CD booklets and tray cards are already printed and have just been waiting for that final piece. Consequently, the manufacturer should be able to turn the project around quickly.
"It's more than late, but it's also more than great and worth the wait," says lead guitarist/producer Karl Messner. The other band members got a chance to hear the mix and suggest any final changes this past Wednesday night, and they agreed with Karl's sentiments. "It's definitely our best work yet," adds lead singer/lyricist J. Jackson.
The "Wordplay" CD was originally scheduled for release Tuesday, November 7, but extra time was needed to get the mix just right. In an ironic twist, we have since discovered that a documentary film called "Wordplay" (about crossword-puzzle enthusiasts) was released on DVD on November 7, so maybe it's best that we were slightly delayed to avoid causing confusion ... lest we should have to endure any cross words from angry puzzle enthusiasts. :)
