Have You Heard About the Other Music City Miracle?

J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX here again.
This coming Monday is the 24th anniversary of a famous last-minute, game-changing NFL football play between the Tennessee Titans and the Buffalo Bills that came to be known as "The Music City Miracle," because it occurred in Nashville. Perhaps you're aware of that event, but did you know there was another "Music City Miracle" that same day?
If you've read the story of how I met my wife, Lisa, you may recall that she discovered ApologetiX (and yours truly) as a result of an interview I did with a Nashville radio station, which she heard on her way to work in Paducah KY, about two hours away. That interview prompted her to order our CD, which prompted me to send a personal reply email.
Long story short: We were married a little less than five months later. If you want to read the details, I shared them in a story last year that you can still read at http://apologetix.com/news/news-details.php?news_id=4676
I didn't notice this until a couple weeks ago, but the date Lisa ordered our CD was January 8, 2000 — the same day as "The Music City Miracle." Since God used a Nashville radio station to bring us together, I'd say we have our own "Music City Miracle." In fact, we spent our wedding night in Nashville at the Opryland Hotel.
Lisa and I got to stay in the Opryland Hotel again in June 2006 when ApologetiX happened to be playing a concert in Nashville the same month as our sixth wedding anniversary. But by that time, we had three kids (two more would follow in 2008 and 2011), and we were traveling as a family, so it wasn't quite as romantic.
Tennessee won the game, but I won Lisa's heart, which was like winning the Powerball lottery. I don't gamble, but I've been set for life ever since. So, when you remember the Titans, don't forget about this unbelievably blessed Pittsburgh Steelers fan, too. God is good!
