This Past Weekend in IL & WI
Mon., Nov. 23. 2009 3:29pm EST
Everybody knows the 50th anniversary is golden and the 25th anniversary is silver, but did you know that the 10th anniversary is tin? If that's the case, you can call us tin men, because our concerts this past weekend in Rockford IL (Machesney Park) and Green Bay WI were our 10th anniversary shows in each place.
As usual, all three concerts (we did two in Green Bay), were extremely well attended, even though hunting season had just begun. It's hard to understand our popularity in Northern Illinois and Wisconsin, but based on their local street signs it might be because they're as strange as we are. In Wisconsin, just five miles above the Illinois border, we passed a sign for Bong Recreation Area followed by another sign for Mars Cheese Castle.
Here are some email comments from our concert coordinators:I was still awake from all the excitement and great music from the concert. From all the responses I got from last night, the concert goers really have a great time. I hope we can do this again sometime in the future.

We love having you come to the Cup. Although it's fun and exciting to have new artists come, it's equally rewarding to have artists back year after year who are really building relationships with people. I sense a new resolve and forward motion in ApologetiX. May your next year be better than ever. We hope to see you in 2010.

Cup O' Joy
Green Bay WI Here are some fan emails we received afterward:The concert was fantastic! Both our sons and Ryan enjoyed it and I was rockin' out! We were smiling, singing and praising the Lord. May you continue to take the music kids love and put God pleasing lyrics to them. You will have a mansion some day!

Thanks for another GREAT show at the Cup O' Joy. Look forward to your visit every year! This time I brought a friend, the chaplain at a prison in Iowa.
