This Past Weekend in OR & WA
Tue., Sep. 20. 2011 7:07pm EDT
This past weekend's concerts in Newberg OR (Portland) and Kennewick WA (Tri-Cities) reminded us once again why we try to schedule concerts in the Oregon and Washington every single year -- beautiful countryside and even more-beautiful people.
As always, our audiences there were enthusiastic and appreciative, and it was great for our keyboardist, Todd Waites, and sound engineer, Greg Spack, to get their first taste of ApologetiX life in the Pacific Northwest. Part of that included another stop at majestic Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon on our way from Newberg to Kennewick.
We also celebrated Tinch's birthday at Saturday's concert. He's only been playing lead guitar for us for three years yet he's already been to Oregon and Washington three times apiece.
Here's are some email/Facebook excerpts from our promoters:I can't begin to tell you how awesome it was to have you return to Newberg. Every time we see you is better than the last, and it's such a joy to see how your music and ministry impacts others, It is always so amazing to see how God has used your collective talents to minister to Christians and non-Christians alike.
It's so cool to speak with people who are seeing you for the first time and how their lives are being changed thanks to your devotion to presenting the gospel message. We love having ApologetiX come to Oregon and welcome you back anytime. One of my good friends posted this on FaceBook:
"Man that concert was amazing! Such a talented group and so very humble and real. If you missed it I'm sorry but don't miss them next time!"
Jerry Moore
Newberg OR
Just wanted to say thanks for another great weekend! Jerry and I are both so excited for the new album, and loved the shows! You are true blessings, and we miss you already. Life's just a little less interesting when you boys are gone. :)
I know how humble you are so let me just give glory and thanks to God for the calling He put on you and the gifts for writing and witnessing He gave to you. I really hope we get to see you again next year (hint, hint) if not sooner. How will we manage to wait?
Deanna Moore
Newberg OR

I was at Tri-Cities WA. I had a great time, thanks! It was fun to watch the 70ish man near me.
Ginger Fairfield
Awesome, awesome show (in Kennewick) ... best ApologetiX concert yet!
Shane Conrad
We drove down from Oroville WA to catch your show. It was great and very inspirational. Looking forward to bringing a larger group next time you are in Washington.
Marc Palmore
Great testimony, message and concert! Todd and Greg are great additions, enjoyed talking with them. One thing is for sure -- you guys are tough! I had way more sleep/rest than you and only drove a little over 400 miles (which Randi drove most of) and I was wasted, yet you still went on into Portland after the concert. Thanks to everyone for your service in the Kingdom.
Clay and Randi Colby
Kalispell MT Special thanks to:
Our concert coordinators: Jerry and Deanna Moore (Newberg) and Drew and Anne Rodgers (Kennewick)
Our opening band: Cry of Stones (Newberg)
Our merchandise coordinators: Kathi and Peggy (Newberg) and Sheri, Craig, Jason and Jordan (Kennewick)
Our chauffeurs: Jerry and Deanna Moore (Newberg), who once again completed drove to both our Oregon and Washington concerts and took us along for the ride.
Honorable mention:
Hal "Sergeant Rock" and Michele Lowder, who flew 2500 miles across the country from Gainesville GA to see us in Kennewick. The Lowders have now seen us in four states (South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington) and still haven't seen us in their home state of Georgia. That's scheduled to change soon, because they are coordinator our concert in Gainesville GA on November 12.
Scott and Kelly McCain, who drove nine hours from Idaho Falls ID with their sons to our concert in Kennewick.
Clay and Randi Colby, who came from Kalispell MT to see us in Kennewick. The Colbys have now seen us in Montana, West Virginia, and Washington.
Our Northwest Canadian fan base, represented by fans such as Sabrina Fast (and her entire crew) and Sue Truscott, who each drove all the way British Columbia to the Kennewick concert, the second year in the row they've made the trek from Canada to Washington to see us.
