Fan Will Match Donations Up to $5000

A fan in the Northeast region of the United States who prefers to remain anonymous contacted us this week and offered to match all donations from now till next Thursday, January 18, at 11:59 p.m. PST., up to a cumulative total of $5000.
This came as a total-but-very-welcome surprise, and we thank God for His gracious provision and that fan and his wife for their generosity. And they added in a subsequent text, "Praying it will double."
Two years ago, two fans in the Southeast and the Southwest made matching-donation offers. Last year, a fan in the Midwest did it. Now, it's the Northeast. They've all been unexpected, they've all been timely, and, incredibly, they've all been met.
Ordinarily, we'd try to avoid making an appeal in the first half of January (even though we do have great needs), but obviously we didn't plan this. Still, we consider it an opportunity from God, and we're not going to second guess His timing.
