ApX Helps College Student Help Others

Sarah May has been an ApologetiX fan for a very long time. She even helped set up a concert for us at her church in El Dorado KS back in 2005 when she was only 15. Now she's 27 and about to get married, but she hasn't forgotten about ApX or lessons learned in our songs:Jacob (my fiance) and I are taking a Bible class at K-State this semester, and this morning's class was about the Book of Acts. The class is with the English department and looks at the Bible from a literary perspective. Thankfully, the narrative for the Book of Acts is very detailed in the "acts" of the Apostles and can easily be analyzed as literature.
The story of Eutychus came up, and the girl I was sitting next to didn't know how to pronounce his name. I told her how I pronounce it and she asked where I learned that from. I then remembered it was from your cover of "Living After Midnight" by Judas Priest. So I channeled my 14-year-old self and proceeded to tell her about that Christian parody band from Pittsburgh, PA ;)
So, thanks for writing "Listening After Midnight" so I can know how to pronounce Eutychus' name!
Speaking of which, I've come to appreciate your parodies even more after taking this Bible class. So many stories of the Bible I can recall simply because I listened to your music growing up. I'm thankful ApologetiX is available on Spotify because now I have an easy reference to your parodies. Makes my backpack a lot lighter since I don't have to tote ALL those CD's around like an early '00 kid!
In Christ,
Sarah May (Future Mrs. Allen)
Manhattan KS Thanks, Sarah! You always were a great one for sending us encouraging emails, and we see that certainly hasn't changed!
