The Title & Theme of Our Upcoming 54th CD

The master recording for our upcoming 54th CD is already at the manufacturer and awaiting final artwork, which we hope to deliver to their printer sometime this weekend.
Believe it or not, we've actually released enough songs on singles since our last CD to fill two new CDs, but one CD with the first dozen songs will have to do for now. We're not Guns N' Roses or Bruce Springsteen here. We plan to release our 55th in the early summer, Lord willing.
We would have released this one sooner, but we were waiting for Bill Hubauer to come home from his tour with Neal Morse, so he could master it.
The title is Double Take, and a quick look at this CD's first two tracks, "Take the Wrong Way Home" and "Taken Up," will tell you one reason. But there are others:
In track #9, Joseph takes Jesus and Mary down to Egypt and then takes them back to Nazareth. In track #11, the king takes away the massive debt of one of his servants, but takes it back when that servant is unwilling to forgive his own debtor. That's a double shot of double takes.
In ApologetiX, we've been doing double takes since 1992 – taking secular songs and taking scriptural passages, then melding them together in an effort to make unsuspecting listeners do a double take. A surprised audience is an attentive audience.
Of course, the best double take a person can make is when they take responsibility for their sins and take Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The second-best double take is when they take time to pray and read the Bible and take the Gospel to others. Let's do it!
